Spread the love

Very aromatic coriander / Dhaniya Chutney also known as the Hari/Green Chutney is made from fresh dhaniya along with green chillies ginger, peanuts and lemon, the aroma of coriander/ cilantro give this chutney a unique flavour. This green chutney is a great accomplishment with Indian cuisines like biryanis and chats.

India is a land of spices and we use spices in various ways. Moreover, Chutneys are an integral part of Indian chaats and snacks. Chutneys and achars (pickles) are an important part of Indian food. In fact, In my home, there was always some sort of chutney or achar on the table for our lunch.

However, I read that Coriander Leaves are an excellent source of Vitamin A and Vitamin C. Along with these nutrients, each serving of coriander leaves is loaded with a potful of nutrients like dietary fibre, iron, manganese, calcium, vitamin K, phosphorus, etc.

The common ones were of course cilantro, mint and then there was amla chutney (Indian gooseberry) amla pickle and raw mangoes, tamarind chutney and tomato chutney! Oh well, the list is endless.

Finally, I would like to share few more recipes from my blog
