Soups and salads

There exists a food that binds the universe! It is soup. You may be in any part of the world and be sure to find out about the local soup, broth, gruel, consommé or shorba! A soup is a soup. Soups are always welcome addition to menus for parties, family meals, special occasions and some lazy evening meals. There are many varieties of soups- thin and clear, creamy or thick, hot and cold. A thin light soup is suitable for a large, hearty meal, while a thick, creamy soup is usually served with simple, light meals. Though hot soups are enjoyable at all times, chilled, mildly flavored soups are delightfully refreshing in summer.
