DRY FRUIT LADDU– So today, I am sharing a very easy and nutritious recipe for all those moms who are extra worried about their kid’s nutrition. This dry fruit ladoo recipe is easy and quick. With this recipe, you can make delicious dry fruit ladoos for winter. This recipe is a no ghee/oil, no sugar and vegan recipe.

I have always been a huge fan of dry fruits. Indian sweets prepared from dry fruits are my favourite, like Kaju barfi or even this dry fruit barfi. I still remember my childhood days when I used to wait for winter every year.  In extreme winters, my mom used to prepare 3-4 varieties of laddus. A few of them are besan ladoo, nariyal ladoo, moong daal ladoo and especially this dry fruit ladoo. These ladoos are the perfect option during the Indian winters as dry fruits give warmth to the body. You can add dry fruits in any of the ladoos but, these are some of my favourites.

What ingredients are required to make dry fruit laddus?

I have used dates, figs, almonds, raisins and desiccated coconut to make these ladoos. You can skip or add any dry fruit of your choice to make these ladoos.

Dates: Dates are the main ingredient of this ladoo as it provides binding and acts as a sweetener for the ladoos.

Figs: A very nutritious ingredient, It gives a nice crunch to the ladoo and helps in binding too. It is a natural sweetener too.

Almonds, Cashews and Pistachios: these dry fruits make these ladoos outstanding they give them a perfect body and crunch.

Coconut: I love the coconut flavour in these ladoos. But, you can easily skip it if you are not a coconut fan.

Important Info:

There is no exact recipe to make dry fruits laddu. The proportions of dry fruits can vary according to your choice. Just make sure the dates & figs are a little extra. Since the dates and figs here help in binding the ladoos. There is absolutely no need to add any sugar to the recipe. The sweetness from the dates, figs and raisins makes for enough sweetness in the ladoos…. In fact a little extra sweet.
