Indian cuisine-We observe a variety of food all around us, different cuisines tempt all of us, so any part of the country you go to, you find different varieties of food, not just that, you will also find some differences in their food styles …I tried to include a few of them but still lots more are to be explored. let’s enjoy the diversity of our food world.
Punjabi cuisine :
Punjabi cuisine is the food from the state of Punjab in India and Pakistan. It can be non-vegetarian or completely vegetarian. There are certain dishes that are exclusive to Punjab, such as Sarson da saag and Makki di roti, dal makhani, and above all Chola bhatoora. The main masala in a Punjabi dish consists of onion, garlic, and ginger. Tandoori food is a Punjabi speciality.
Muglai cuisine :
Mughlai cuisine is a style of cooking developed in South Asia by the imperial kitchens of the Mughal Empire. It basically represents the cooking style of North India, Pakistan and Hyderabad in India.
Very versatile cuisine all kababs and rich curries are included in it.
South Indian cuisine :
South Indian cuisine is very vast and you will find so much versatility in this cuisine every region of south India has a different way of cooking food although their staple diet is rice and they use more bajra and jawar instead of wheat, variety is so much that to cover everything will take ages.
Rajasthani cuisine :
Rajasthani cooking was influenced by both the war-like lifestyles of its inhabitants and the availability of ingredients in this arid region. Food that could last for several days and could be eaten without heating was preferred. Scarcity of water and fresh green vegetables have all had their effect on cooking. You can see lots of variety and differences in taste and style in making food in every region of Rajasthan. Although verity is vast I will try to share the most popular in my posts.
Bengali cuisine :
Bengali cuisine is known for its subtle (yet sometimes fiery) flavours and its spread of confectioneries and desserts. Though Bengali cuisine is more favourable for non-vegetarians as they are fish and meat lovers. However, when I explored Kolkata …I found, that their veg cuisine is as decorated with tasty dishes as non-veg cuisine.
Gujarati cuisine :
I found this cuisine very interesting as many Gujarati dishes are distinctively sweet, salty and spicy at the same time . Gujarati cuisine varies widely in flavour and heat, depending on a family’s tastes as well as the region of Gujarat. Basically, they are from North Gujarat, Kathiawad, Kachchh, and Surti. They are the four major regions of Gujarat that all bring their own style to Gujarati food.
Sindhi cuisine :
Frankly, I don’t know much about this cuisine. However, I have tried a few popular dishes such as dal Pakwan, sai bhaji, Sindhi kadhi etc. Lot a more to explore for Sindhi cuisine I follow a blog Sindhi rasoi. A nice and interesting cuisine.
Kashmiri cuisine :
Really difficult to find something vegetarian in Kashmiri cuisine. All popular dishes of Kashmiri cuisine consist of meat, Kashmiri cuisine has had the earliest influence on Kashmiri Pandit cuisine. Usually, Pandits do not eat meat, however, the Pandits of Kashmir have always eaten all meats except beef. Wazwan is popular cuisine of Kashmir, the meal consists of 32 varieties of dishes veg and no veg both, but most of them were non-veg.
