Today I am sharing How To Make Perfect Tea …some points from my experience and some from day to day life.

Perfection in making tea is a milestone to achieve. Every tea lover has a different expectation. Although, I am not a tea lover with time I have tried to improve my tea making skills to perfection. Yet, I still need to achieve that according to a few of my friends. Ha Ha… But, I am not giving up will try and try till I succeeded.

Recently, I visited Darjeeling with my sisters for a change, we had a really good time together, In spite of heavy rains we had not missed a single opportunity to visit almost all tea estates and tea bars. We had a great experience visiting these bars and having different types of tea. It was indeed an unforgettable moment.

There I learned the best way to make tea. Though, it seems that everyone has an opinion on how the perfect cup of tea should be made. The debates on whether milk-in-first-or-after, the length of time the tea needs to brew (steep), even the type Teapot in which to brew continue. Opinions are always going to be different but few steps will remain the same as..use freshly boiled water, let the tea stand, add milk, the rest it seems is a personal preference. In fact, milk or no milk is again a debatable question.

According to me, these two methods are ideal and I would like to share the same with you.

Traditional Indian Tea :
  • Boil Water in a utensil.
  • Add Masala ( ginger, cardamom, fennel, and Cinnamon) according to your preference.
  • Boil it for good three minutes.
  • Add Asam Tea Leaves, cover, and switch off the gas for a few seconds. To brew tea leaves.
  • Add milk and heat it once again. just heat does not boil that will spoil the taste of tea.
  • Add sugar and serve in china cups.
Pot Tea :
  • Take only Indian or Ceylon tea or Tea Bags
  • Always serve in a teapot
  • The pot should be warmed
  • The tea should be strong
  • Use loose tea in a pot
  • Always use boiling water
  • Stir or shake the pot before serving
  • Always use a cylindrical cup
  • My preference is non-creamy milk
  • Put tea in the cup before milk
  • Sugar can be served separately

Additionally, I wanted to bring to your notice a different kind of tea category: Herbal Teas. It is very famous in India as we follow Ayurveda, and in Ayurveda concoction of certain herbs are considered good for health .. These kinds of Teas are called herbal teas and are very good for your system. I always use Herbal Tea from organic India they are really good. Click pictures for the recipe.
