BRAIN FOOD For Thought :
Since a Long time, I have not updated my blog. I was very busy with my daughter’s studies, exams, collage …back again as exams are over and waiting for results. Really tough time for kids and they really need a healthy and nutritious diet at this time, it’s an essential duty of all the mothers to take care of their diet. Recently, I read somewhere that some essential nutrients called ‘ Brain Food ‘ like Antioxidants, Choline, Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids, and Complex Carbohydrates. However, I thought to share with you all.
Blueberries are packed with antioxidants. Strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries are great choices, too. You’ll also find antioxidants in tons of other fruits and vegetables — the more brightly colored, the more nutrient-dense. In addition, nuts, seeds, and nut/seed kinds of butter are good sources of the antioxidant vitamin E, which protects brain-cell membranes from damage. you’ll find choline in Eggs (especially the yolk), beans, brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, yogurt, tofu, buckwheat. And omega-3 essential fatty acids in walnuts, flaxseed, and omega-3 enriched eggs and yogurt.
Complex carbohydrates are fiber-rich whole grains (or starches). They are crucial to the brain’s functioning because they are the main source of fuel. When the body absorbs complex carbohydrates, they’re broken down into glucose, which the body (and brain) uses as energy.
You’ll find it in Whole-grain bread, pasta, crackers, cereals, pancakes, waffles, and brown rice. Vegetables and fresh fruits also take an essential role in the mental development of growing children you can always mix and match all these into tasty bites to make them eat in their daily diet.

How to make Kurkuri Bhindi:
1. Rinse the bhindi in water very well. Then wipe them dry with a kitchen napkin. Or you can spread them on a large plate and let them dry naturally. The bhindi should be completely dry before you start marinating it with spices.
2. Remove the crown and the base tip of the bhindi. Slice the bhindi vertically into 4 pieces. If you have small sized bhindi, then slice into 2 pieces. Take all your sliced bhindi in a big thali or a big bowl.
Now sprinkle all the spice powders including salt, one by one on the sliced bhindi. Sprinkle besan on the bhindi.
Gently mix the besan, spice powders, and salt with the bhindi. The besan must evenly coat the bhindi. Marinate the bhindi In this mixture for 25-30 minutes. You could also keep it for an hour.
See how bhindi looks after marinated for 20-30 min.
Fry on a medium flame. When one side becomes crisp, then turn over each bhindi and fry the other side.
The Matter of fact is that by giving these twists to our day to day bhindi, it makes bhindi remarkable. I would like to suggest a few more recipes from my blog :
