Vegetable Rawa Idli- An Instant Idli

IDLI- Rava Idli is a soft, pillowy steamed savoury cake made from rava or suji and is a popular variation of the traditional South Indian Idli which is made with fermented rice and lentil batter.

A bit from my life:

Today I am sharing the vegetable Rawa idli. when I got up today morning I was amazed to see snow everywhere it was all white. We were so excited that I forgot to cook breakfast and Tiffin for my little darling. She planned a picnic with her friends at the golf course. At this time vegetable idli was the only option for me because it is very quick to make and healthy to eat, it is a perfect snack either for morning breakfast, evening snacks or for picnics. 

Finally, I would like to suggest you few more recipes from my blog:

 
Suji idli

1 cup suji/semolina

1 cup curd
vegetables of your choice(finely chopped) 3 to 4 tbsp
(you can take cauliflower, beans, carrot, cabbage, beetroot etc)
1 tbsp fruit salt  or 1 pouch eno powder

For chilli garlic chutney:-
1 onion
2 tomatoes
2 red chilly whole
4-5 garlic
salt as per taste
4-5 Kari Patta/ curry leaves
1/2tsp mustard seeds
Oil for tempering
Method:-

 

Take suji in a bowl
combine all ingredients except eno powder
mix well
now put idli cooker on fire
pour 2cup water in it, grease idli stand lightly
mix eno in the mixture
beat well and pour 1tsp batter into each idli mold
steam at least for ten min
serve hot with chutney
for chutney:-
mix all the ingredients except mustard, Kari Patta and oil
grind well
now heat oil for tempering put rai and Kari Patta in it and pour over the chutney
