Looking for a special lunch menu? What about Special Tadke wali Daal. let’s make it follow the step-by-step recipe and video…

It is really an unfortunate situation …because of the corona outbreak …we all are confined to our homes. During the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, millions of us are under stay-at-home orders and practising social distancing. And for many of us, this means more time in the kitchen ..cooking meals. Most of you must be looking for some simple and less time taking recipes.

As I told you earlier, that I am trying to share the day-to-day recipes that i and my daughters grew up eating. These recipes are basically for beginners and for amateur chefs. Special Daal Tadka is one of them.

lazy day cooking:

Sometimes..when we do not want to put much effort into cooking, but still want to have something delicious and healthy to eat. After running out of instant noodles, the only way left with us is to cook something as simple as possible with very few ingredients.

At this time dal chawal comes as a saviour.  In fact, It is simple to make Dabhe wali Daal as that can be prepared immediately with minimal and basic ingredients available in your kitchen.

Moong daal is one of the simplest Indian dals made with split petite yellow lentils. Of all the dals that I grew up eating at home on a regular basis, moong dal was probably everyone’s least favourite. But after eating this tadke wali daal .. everyone in my home started liking it so much that now this daal is on our menu twice a week.

As a matter of fact, I got this Moong Dal Tadka recipe from one of my Punjabi friends. She makes delicious moong daal. In fact, the best part is that here we just put everything together and cook in one go and at the end just add little ghee with chilli and coriander powder for tempering or tadka. That’s it and believe me, the bland moong daal turns into delicious daal.

You can add green chilli and garlic also in tadka which I also do when my daughters are home since they find moong daal very bland and they love garlic flavour in daal.

Health Benefits:

Moong Daal has ample nutrients…it is extremely light and easy to digest. Moong Daal is rich in Vitamin A, B, C, and E and also in many minerals including iron, calcium, and potassium. Not to forget it is a powerful source of vegetarian protein.

In fact, It is considered a healthy weight loss food as it is a low-fat food rich in proteins and fiber. It curbs cravings and keeps us full for a long time. It detoxifies the body and benefits the metabolism as well as the immune system. In fact, It helps to lower the high cholesterol level in the blood system. Regular intake of Green Moong reduces bad cholesterol and improves the flexibility of arteries and veins. It also regulates blood pressure.

You will find more such daal recipes in my blog categories lintels or Daals. In fact, I want to suggest you few more interesting recipe links from my site that I am sure you would like to visit and try.
